WHAT TO EXPECT
Guest Parking
At Huffman Baptist we have plenty of parking spaces, and we have saved one for you! You will find guest parking in both our Worship Center and Ministry Center parking lots. If you park in the Ministry Center lot, our off-duty police officer will likely help you as you cross the street.
Start Here
Once you find a parking spot, just head towards the “Start Here” flags. They will guide you to our welcome center, which we call THE HUB. You can grab a cup of coffee and a pastry while we gather some information and direct you to a small group or the Worship Center.
What about my kids?
Whether you come for small groups at 9:30 or worship at 10:30, we have age-appropriate ministries planned for preschoolers and children. Once we gather the appropriate information in THE HUB, someone will walk with you to our Children’s Building.
Middle school and high school students have a small group that meets at 9:30.
Is there a class for me?
Absolutely! We are a multi-generational church with small group Bible studies for all ages. These small groups start at 9:30 and include great fellowship, prayer, and Bible study with an emphasis on applying the truth of God’s word to our everyday lives. One of our pastors or a member of our Guest Services Team will help you find the class that’s right for you.
What should I expect in worship?
As you enter the worship center, you will notice members catching up with one another and preparing to worship. You will want to pick up a copy of the weekly newsletter with lots of information about what’s going on. The service starts promptly at 10:30 and lasts for about 70 minutes.
What about the preaching?
Our lead pastor and the other members of our teaching team practice what is called expository preaching. That means we take the text of the Bible and expose its meaning with a focus on application to everyday life. We also preach through books of the Bible.
What is your worship style?
Our philosophy is that everyone in the room should be able to engage in worship in their “heart language” at some point in the service. And since we are a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church, that means we sing some traditional songs, some contemporary songs, and some gospel songs.
What should I wear?
We’ve got good news! We don’t have a dress code. You will find everything from suits and dresses to blue jeans and t-shirts and everything in between.
